What’s New

Designers and startups from different disciplines joined the Design Entreprenr Day event held in end June 2020, to learn the application procedures and offers of DIP and FIP.  Prof. Eric Yim, Chairman of HKDC and Kennis Chan, Director of FDIP, also shared the challenges faced by Design Entrepreneurs in HK and the importance of incubation programmes.
Besides, three DIP Designers include Emily Tang from Studio Doozy (product design), Mandy Tsang from eMotionLAB.tv (multimedia), as well as Vincent Mok from ReALLY Design (branding design), were invited to introduce their entrepreneurial journey and how they leveraged the support and resources from DIP.

The other session of the event was a Design Thinking Workshop co-hosted by The Institute of Design Knowledge (IDK), during which participants were able to learn how to apply design thinking in the product design process when carrying out a user-friendly commercial project. The Design Thinking Toolkits were given as gifts for participants for use in their daily lives.
